NOCTIS IMPERIUM: Five Songs Available For Streaming
January 25, 2009Venezuelan black/death metallers NOCTIS IMPERIUM have made five unmastered tracks from their upcoming debut album, "Glorification of Evil: The Age Of The Golden Dawn", available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The CD, which is currently being mastered by Alex Krull (ATROCITY) at Mastersound Entertainment in Germany, features an appearance by legendary British drummer Nicholas Barker (DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH, LEAVES' EYES, ATROCITY, BRUJERIA).
Commented founder Aeneas Inferno: "We felt that we needed a drummer with both skill and power for our material, and we asked Nick Barker if he would be interested in doing the drums for us. He liked the material, and agreed to record with us, which was fantastic for the band. He's done an incredible job, it's one of the most savage performances I've heard from him, and his work has produced just the sort of brutal sound we were hoping for with this album."
Originally formed in 2001 as a one-man project by vocalist/guitarist Aeneas Inferno, NOCTIS IMPERIUM's first release was a self-titled demo in 2003. Following the release of a second demo, "Night Divine" in 2004, NOCTIS IMPERIUM became a four-piece with the addition of Hephaestion on bass, Aegrimonia on guitar and Soto on drums, and since then the band has been honing its art, and its writing, by playing extensively throughout Venezuela.
NOCTIS IMPERIUM is currently looking for a label on which to release the new album, and will undertake a tour of its native country with SCYTHE and LANDSEMK. Billed as "Venezuela Tour 2009", the trek will kick off February 21, and will cover 10 cities. Jorge "Pepino" Gonzalez (MOJO POJO) will handle the drum duties for the tour.
